Users

Since version 6.0.0, users in docuteam feeder are managed using the open source software Keycloak. Keycloak is installed as a seperate application (either on a dedicated server or on an existing ingest or repository server) and offers a centralised way to create and edit users for both docuteam feeder and docuteam box. Keycloak can also be connected to an external authentication solution via SAML or OpenID, allowing single sign-on.

In Keycloak, the following roles can be assigned to users in feeder:

RoleDescription
userNormal user: can execute and track workflows, but cannot create or modify them.
super_userSuper user: can additionally create and modify workflows within the associated organization.
adminAdministrator: can execute workflows as well as create and modify them, can create and edit steps.

The roles user and super_user are organization specific, i.e. they can be assigned for one or multiple organizations.

Using the menu option "Admin->Users" users with a permissions of an "Administrator" or a "Super User" can view the old user accounts before the switch to Keycloak.
