docuteam sirius 1.9​

Show location data per record​

  • Sirius shows the locations where a record is stored (boxes, shelves) and where those locations are located (typically rooms, buildings, town).
  • Archives may choose to publish or hide location information. By default, showing locations is turned off.

Please contact us if you're interested in turning on this feature. We will then adapt your configuration and let the indexer re-visit your archival metadata.

Search and navigation improvements​

  • A new "Digital Object" filter allows you to only show records linked to digital objects or attachments.
  • When viewing details of a record, a new button allows you to jump to where that record is located in the "structure" hierarchy.
  • Context attachments can now be filtered by search facets as well, e.g. selecting an "only PNG files" facet now shows both attachments and digital objects in that format.

User documentation available​

The user documentation of docuteam sirius is now available online as well.

This includes a first set of documents describing the search functions and handling of authority data, as well as the configuration of Sirius for those of you with editor rights.

Translations follow soon

As this writing, these pages only exist in German. We will translate the documentation to English and French in the coming weeks.

Customer requests​

We've fixed a number of bugs and implemented improvements that were also reported by customers:

  • The page title for the menu entry "Structure" is now translated.
  • For customers with an advanced setup, the page title on topics and participation pages now properly shows up.
  • Fixed a bug where error messages on the login page showed up with a broken layout.

Additional changes​

  • Bookmarks in the bookmark list properly show up again.
  • Authority data from docuteam context was not always showing up as taxonomy. Also, only agents would actually appear. This has been fixed.
  • We've further improved how new archives are set up, making it easier to set up and maintain installations serving many archives.
  • We're now supporting setups with a Keycloak server handling user authentication.
  • Indexing has been improved to support a number of new edge cases.

Customer requests​

We've fixed a number of bugs and implemented improvements that were also reported by customers:

  • You can add and remove images again when editing a page in Sirius.
  • When showing digital objects of a record, we now show the names as stored with their binary representation instead of showing their original filename.

Additional changes​

  • In search, when navigating to the second page of search results or beyond, then clicking on a specific result, an error was shown instead of the details of that result. This has been fixed.
  • In some records, a reference code marked as hidden was shown under some circumstances. This has been fixed.
  • Image previews and digital objects of a record would not show under specific circumstances. This has been fixed.

docuteam sirius 1.7​

Full-text search in documents​

  • Text within PDFs is now indexed and searchable.
  • We show an excerpt of the text with highlighted matches to provide context and make it clear why a document was found.

Displaying attachments​

  • Good news for AtoM users migrating to docuteam context: attachments from docuteam context are now supported.
  • Attachments are displayed alongside digital objects from a digital archive.
  • The publication of attachments can be enabled or disabled per archive.

Artwork in archive title​

  • You can now optionally display a logo or other artwork (e.g. a coat of arms) in the archive title.
  • Archives can be configured to show the graphic, the archive name, or both.

Search within a fonds​

  • In both the search and advanced search functions, searches can now be limited to a specific fonds or sub-fonds.
  • Facets can be used to further drill down into the hierarchy and refine the displayed results.

Synchronised data model​

  • Changes made to the data model in docuteam context can now be transferred to Sirius more easily and with less delay, making larger data model updates available sooner in docuteam sirius.

Customer requests​

We've fixed a number of bugs and implemented improvements that were also reported by customers:

  • Locations no longer appear as places.
  • Archive pages appeared multiple times in "My Archives" if translations existed. They are now shown only once, in the currently selected language.

Additional changes​

  • Reference codes marked as "hidden" in docuteam context are no longer displayed.
  • The login page previously showed an error about a missing "title". This has been fixed.
  • Document labels/titles are now shown instead of filenames (including for eCH-0160 documents).
  • The title on the record detail view is now sticky when scrolling.
  • We've increased the number of siblings in the tree that can be simultaneously displayed from 400 to 2000.
  • If an archive page is not available in the selected language, it still appears in "My Archives" and links to the default language version.
  • We've resolved a few minor issues identified during a recent security review, as part of our ongoing commitment to product security.

docuteam sirius 1.6​

More thumbnails everywhere​

  • We've added a grid view to search. Search results can now be shown as a grid of thumbnails or as a list.
  • Thumbnails are now generated and displayed for additional document types, including videos and PDFs, not just images.

More powerful search options​

  • Sorting of result lists by date is now possible.
  • Search has received a number of updates with our last release (which we published silently) including a new filter "digital object available", an option to change the number of results per page, a cleaned-up way to show a single result and an optional help page to give guidance for advanced search (not activated by default).

Improved record details​

  • When showing the details of a record, we now also show a clickable in-page navigation that shows its context in the archive structure.
  • You may now print the details of a record by using the new "print" button. This also allows you to download the details as a PDF.

Clearer navigation​

  • We've moved the tree with the archive's structure from the record details to the "Structure" menu. This makes it easier to navigate trees with many records and makes it possible to properly print records.

Enhanced article pages​

  • Editors can now use videos on article pages and the archive page (the "home page" of an archive).
  • We've applied several styling improvements to page types such as "Stories" (article pages) and "Mitmachseiten" (participation pages) for archives using them.
  • We've improved the styling of info, warning and error messages to make them more prominent.

Printable watch lists​

  • A watch list can now be printed as well. Again, this also allows you to download it as a PDF. Note that you need to have an account and to be logged in in order to use watch lists.

Additional changes​

  • We've added Swedish as a supported language, alongside English, French, and German.
  • We've implemented a way to offer customer-specific configuration of key features.
  • We've added first steps to provide full-text search in PDFs - this became available in the next release.
  • We've fixed and implemented a number of issues and requests by customers.
  • We've resolved a problem where Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome would download PDFs instead of displaying them inline.
