Preservation actions

docuteam box offers preservation actions that protect and maintain the physical and digital integrity of records over time. These actions are available only to users assigned the preservation_actions role when applied to a selected group of files.

File identification

This action reruns file format identification on the selected files using Siegfried. A PREMIS event is automatically generated, recording the specific version of the tool used to perform the identification.

You can also run this operation across an entire archive from the maintenance screen (administrator privileges required).
